Any air-source heating system has to be designed carefully, bearing in mind that boilers operate at around 70 degrees centigrade, while air-source units operate at about 40 degrees for the radiators and 55 for the hot water. Everything has to be taken into account in the heating system design, including the building heat-loss calculations used to determine the correct heat pump and cylinder, all the underfloor heating runs and the radiator sizes.
